Disclaimer – Honoris Causa Award

The Honoris Causa title conferred by The Chicago Open University is an honorary recognition granted to individuals who have demonstrated exceptional contributions to society, outstanding achievement, or exemplary leadership in their respective fields. This title is strictly honorary in nature and does not constitute an academic degree. It does not confer academic credits, nor should it be represented or implied as an earned academic qualification.

Any misrepresentation of the Honoris Causa title as a formal academic credential, including but not limited to use for employment, academic advancement, or professional licensing purposes, is expressly prohibited and may result in revocation of the honorary award.

Recipients are selected through a formal nomination and review process and are required to submit supporting documentation evidencing their contributions and impact. The Honoris Causa award is a mark of distinction and honor, and its integrity must be preserved at all times.

By accepting the Honoris Causa award, recipients agree to comply with the terms of this disclaimer and acknowledge the honorary nature of the title.

Regulatory Status and Program Nature:

Chicago Open University, Delaware LLC is currently operating as a private Edutech and professional development institution offering training, coaching, certification, fellowship, and skill-enhancement programs. These programs are conducted in compliance with applicable Delaware state laws governing private educational service providers, pending the completion of formal accreditation processes.

At present, Chicago Open University does not confer government-recognized degrees. All certifications, diplomas, fellowships, and professional programs are intended for knowledge enhancement, professional development, continuing education, and industry exposure, and should not be construed as equivalent to accredited academic degrees unless explicitly stated after accreditation is granted.

Accreditation Status: Chicago Open University is actively working toward institutional and programmatic accreditation. Until such accreditation is formally awarded, programs shall be considered non-accredited professional education offerings, permissible under Delaware law for private institutions.

Honorary Awards and Distinctions: Chicago Open University maintains a dedicated Department of Honorary Awards, through which recognitions such as Honoris Causa, Lifetime Achievement, Excellence, and Leadership Awards are conferred. These awards are honorary in nature, awarded in recognition of professional excellence, societal contribution, leadership, or lifetime achievements, and do not represent earned academic degrees or qualifications. Recipients of honorary awards are not required to complete academic coursework, and such recognitions should not be interpreted as academic credentials.
